Clay has a Bachelor of Business Administration and Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, with a major in Finance. He spent a year as a Trade Confirmation Officer for Royal Bank Investor Service and a year Auditing for Federated Co-operatives Limited. Following that, he worked for six years for Revenue Canada mainly in Enquiries and Office Examination. Clay is comfortable in all industries, and gained great insight into many types during his time with Revenue Canada. He joins us now from Burcom, where he spent almost ten years.
He spent many years as a part-time controller for a variety of clients from manufacturing to retail to restaurants; and was a Sage 300 (formerly Accpac) Preferred Accountant. Just before starting at BurCom, Clay went to work for one of his clients as their controller, mainly involved in land development, building subdivisions, houses and apartment buildings, so has a unique understanding of the client’s point of view.
He is not currently involved in any charity work, but always supports our clients who are registered charities or non-profit organizations by purchasing tickets during their fundraising efforts.
