The Answer Company Visits South Africa to Discuss Mining Industry

The Answer Company’s president Shawn Ostheimer and Ontario Regional Manager Jonathan Ross recently visited Sage South Africa (SA) to learn more about efforts to deliver ERP solutions to the local mining industry. Hosted by Sage SA’s Senior Vice President of Sales Keith Fenner, they learned of Sage ERP X3 product developments that have launched the software as a powerful solution for the local mining industry.

By developing the software with industry specific functionality to deal with particular industry challenges, Sage SA has delivered to market a capable and inexpensive solution. Mining specific modules developed using Sage SAFE – the X3 programming language – are incorporated into the core system of Sage ERP X3, simplifying support, maintenance and use.

The visit to South Africa was also significant as a milestone in the further development of The Answer Company’s Global Alliance. To best support companies in the mining industry, The Answer Company has forged partnerships and alliances with Sage partners from all over the world, including Consilia, a Sage reseller based out of Johannesburg. Through this alliance, The Answer Company will deliver local support to both head offices, based in Canada, and mining operation locations all over the globe while safeguarding compliance through multi-language and multi-legislation systems. This ensures that systems operate seamlessly and receive high quality support no matter where operations are located.

Small, mid and enterprise mining companies in South Africa via Sage South Africa, and in Canada, via The Answer Company, will continue to enjoy a powerful solution that is a scalable and global, at a much lower cost than what they would spend on Tier I solutions. Our mining expert Jonathan Ross and president Shawn Ostheimer are excited to take on the benefits for mining companies learned during this trip to continue to provide our own local mining companies with the solutions best fitted to meet their needs.
