Sage 300c is now Sage 300cloud

Over the years the ‘c’ in Sage 300c has stood for a few things: connected, collaborate, and customer focused. The c-line (which includes Sage 50c, Sage 100c, Sage 300c) brought a number of new enhancements to the respective Sage products, the most significant of which is that the solutions are hybrid cloud-based. This means that businesses experience the benefits of cloud, including access to their solution via any device with an internet connection (web screens, mobility, etc), while still being installed on-premise. Given the cloud capabilities of Sage 300c and the other c-line products, it was commonly assumed that the ‘c’ stood for cloud. The time is here and Sage has finally made it official: ‘c’ now stands for cloud.

Important to Know

Don’t worry, the product itself has not changed at all. It still offers the same strong features and functionality as it did before and is still a desktop solution. The only difference is that the name has been changed to reflect the connected cloud capabilities of the product.

What is the Difference between Sage 300 and Sage 300cloud?

At its core, Sage 300cloud is the same as Sage 300 but as outlined above, it gives users access to cloud capabilities. These include some new features including automatic data backups and invoicing in the field. Additionally, Sage 300cloud also provides enhanced functionality with improved & customizable user interface (UI) and access to complementary solutions that are only available for Sage 300cloud, such as Sage Inventory Advisor Basics.

With the new Sage Business Cloud, clients also have more options available and can choose to continue using the Sage 300cloud product they love, with its new name, but also have the option to look at Sage’s native cloud products.

If you’re currently using Sage 300c or one of the other c-line products this change will have no impact on your businesses or processes.
