The Answer Company Acquires Unisoft’s Sage Software Business

The Answer Company, a leading supplier of business management software and technology consulting services, has acquired the Sage Software business of fellow business partner, Unisoft.  With the announcement of this acquisition, The Answer Company decisively becomes the second largest Sage Business Partner in Canada.

As both a Sage Software Partner and Microsoft Certified Partner since 1989, Unisoft has been providing strong and reliable service to hundreds of customers over the years. Based in Vancouver, BC, Unisoft has been known for its balance of accounting specialists focused on Sage Solutions and network technicians focused on the Microsoft environment.

 With this acquisition, the Sage Solution specialists will bring their experience and expertise to The Answer Company’s well-respected team of implementation and support experts, clearly combining to benefit all clients.  Through The Answer Company, former Unisoft Sage Software clients will gain access to additional experienced consultants, technicians certified to work exclusively with Sage Solutions, and extensive support desk capabilities.  These combined resources will be used to ensure a smooth transition between resellers.

The agreement between the two companies means that on April 1, 2015, The Answer Company will take over support and maintenance responsibilities for all Sage Software customers previously supported by Unisoft.  These clients vary across several Sage products including Sage HRMS, Sage CRM, and Sage Business Intelligence, but most notably is the Sage 300 ERP and Sage 300 ERP Online client base, which is currently the third largest Sage 300 client base in BC.  With already having one of the largest Sage ERP X3 and Sage 500 ERP business practices nationwide, a strong client base of Sage Business Vision and Sage 100 ERP, and its own Sage 300 clients, The Answer Company will now have a dominant nationwide customer base in every mid-market Sage ERP system.

A Sage partner for twenty years with over 300 active customers, The Answer Company is based out of Vancouver, with offices in Calgary and Toronto.  As Mr. Ostheimer stated, there is a strong commitment to tend to the needs of the newly arrived customers and The Answer Company will work closely together with Unisoft staff to learn the specific needs of new clients. Over the coming weeks, The Answer Company will begin contacting Unisoft’s Sage Software customers to start the transition process and when necessary, meetings with The Answer Company’s Customer Management team or Support Technicians will be arranged.

The announcement is another example of The Answer Company’s continuing growth. The deal marks the sixth acquisition by The Answer Company in the last three years, following the purchase of Essential Software Solutions’ Sage ERP business, Avante Solutions’ SalesLogix business, two Sage PFW ERP lines of business from other Sage partners, and most recently, Information Systems Architects (ISA) Sage 500 ERP client base and Sage ERP X3 Fashion product line earlier this year.
